Exciting Progress at TTC! - May 2021

Welcome to our May Newsletter!

It has been an incredibly busy start to the year! We continue to grapple with the multiple challenges posed by Covid19 and have experienced unprecedented disruption to the supply chain in terms of raw material availability, logistics chaos, and the significant related cost implications of these together with general cost increases across the board, especially in packaging and energy.

In spite of these challenges, I am delighted to be able to report that TTC’s OTIF performance remains comfortably ahead of our 95% target for both sites and we remain well-stocked for the vast majority of our product range. This is due to significant efforts from our team to keep abreast of the requirements of our customers and I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved.

In addition to the basic requirement of keeping our customers supplied we also continue to invest in the business on both sites have recently added to our dispersion wet-out technology in Belfast and significantly increased our storage and mixing capacity in Oldbury to facilitate our ongoing growth plan.

We have also grown our TTC team by adding a new Customer Service Representative to our Customer Service Department. We view this as an important step in upholding the values of the company, particularly our "Customer First" approach to business.

Our Customers’ requirements are front and centre of everything that we do and we appreciate the trust that you are placing in us as your key supplier for the products which we produce, especially when you like us are facing such a challenging environment. I would take this opportunity to thank you for your unstinting support and encourage you to please let us know if there are areas you think we could further help your business.

Thank you!

-Tim Glenn, Managing Director of TTC

SOIL ASSOCIATION'S GOTS 6.0 STANDARD

TTC are pleased to announce that we have once again achieved the most recent Organic Textile Standard, GOTS 6.0.

This covers the processing, manufacturing, packaging, labelling, trading and distribution of all textiles made from at least 70% certified organic natural fibres.

As it is to date technically nearly impossible to produce any textiles in an industrial way without the use of chemical inputs, the approach is to define criteria for low impact and low residual natural and synthetic chemical inputs (such as dyestuffs, auxiliaries and finishes) accepted for textiles produced and labelled according to this Standard.

The GOTS Standard sets requirements on working and social conditions that are equivalent to those of leading social sustainability standards.
