Job title: Maintenance Team leader
Department: Maintenance
Reports to: Operations Manager (for project related tasks) and Site Supervisor (for daily production related tasks).
The Role
As a skilled Mechatronics / Electrical Engineer working in a chemical manufacturing environment you will be responsible for the hands-on supervision of a small multi-trade engineering team involved in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair, and testing of all mechanical equipment and all electrical / electronic, instrumentation and control equipment. You will liaise daily with production teams to prioritise and address production related breakdowns. You will also work with the Operations Manager to plan and schedule preventive maintenance checks and assist in some project management tasks.
Some heavy manual handling may be required on occasion where the use of manual handling equipment is not practical.
The role may involve working over-time, weekends, holiday periods and callouts as and when required.
